Changing from ACF pro blocks to GP / GB blocks

Hi,
I've been creating custom guteneberg blocks using ACF pro blocks (https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/blocks/).
However I have a feeling that this sort of task can be done by GP (generatepress) and GB (generateblocks).
So is it possible to create a custom gutenberg block, with custom fields for some text and an image, just using GP and GB without using ACF pro (may need to use ACF free though) ?

Hi Ben,
If you update your GB to v 1.5 or above, you can enable the dynamic data option for the headline block and the new image block of GB.
You can pull data from custom fields.
