Changing Footer in Mason Site Library

I am working on building a site using the Mason Theme/Site library, but am unable to figure out how to change the footer. Whenever I change the footer using the editor it seems to do nothing and if I try to edit the page, the footer isn't there to be edited.
Where exactly can I edit it? I'm specifically referring to the footer that has the info below:
MASON ARCHITECTURE FIRM

PH +1 000 000 0000

24 M DRIVE
EAST HAMPTON, NY 11937

Have another unrelated question. How can I change the URL structure for authors/users? Right now it is automatically forcing me to use /author/username. How can I change this?
