    Hi,

I have installed the REALTOR demo and am making edits, but when I click on the block/container with the top hero there is no image showing in the background image field.

I am trying to add my own image and of course edit the dark blue colour overlay?

    Any instructions appreciated.

    Regards

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Try editing the Pages, and replace the Background Image URL on the Container Blocks as shown in these screenshots:

So background images made to fit a Container Block can be tricky.
As you need an Image that has the same aspect ratio as the Container.
And the headache there is, your Containers Aspect ratio will change if it has content inside it…..

Question do you have a more landscape ratio version of that image ?

    Hi David/Fernando,

I have managed to change the main nav background colour but if you look at the page, the top left and right corners are a dark blue.

I cannot see where to change these.

    Could you advise please?

    Regards

    Richard

In Appearance > Elements ( or short cut when viewing a page via the Admin Bar > Elements menu ) edit the Top Bar Element.
Select the top most Container Block and change its Background Color in the block settings.

    Hi David/Fernando,

I have hit another issue and have seen this a couple of times.

I have a page called Doyen Queen. I have cloned that page and edited the main background image but when I save, it seems to add in the main page hero over the top of my background image.

I don’t understand why it does this and also how to fix it?

    Regards

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

How exactly did you clone the page?

    Hi Fernando,

Sorry, I missed a part out. The cloned page is Kays Light.

I installed the Yoast Page Post Clone plugin and cloned from there.

Is there a way to do this in GP?

    Cheers

Can you try to Duplicate > Cut > Paste the content of “Kays Light” to a new page and see if the same issue exists? Yoast may not have generated new IDs for the Blocks which is causing the issue.

    Hi Fernando,

I wish to clone the Doyen Queen page.

How do i DUPLICATE from the editor?

    Cheers

    If you’re using Windows,

Select the Block you wish to duplicate, then press CRTL + SHIFT + D.

    Hi Fernando,

Thanks for the screenshot but I am having real problems with this.

If I go to the container and duplicate then I copy, add a new page and paste the copied block, but it does not paste correctly and still adds the top hero to the new page.

    Totally confused.

Is there not an easier way of cloning my original page and then adding that as a new page?

Look at the Kays Light page after following the duplicate/copy instructions.

    Regards

    Richard
