1. yesterday, we Created 2 new ninja forms
2. Created links to those forms and changed the layout of the events page in Beaver Builder to put the links on it. saved as draft.
3. Changed the our chapter page and successfully published those changes
4. Updated generatepress theme and all themes needing updates
5. Attempted to publish the changes to the event page and they saved on the admin side of the website, but they don't publish and appear live on the public side.
6. Made changes to the home page in Beaver Builder that also saved on the admin side but won't publish and appear live on the public side of the site
7. Switched browsers to Safari, logged in, tried to publish the beaver builder changes there.didn't work.
8. Went back to firefox, cleared cache, when the page reopened, the menu was accordioned out all over the top of the page on certain pages of the public side of the site, including the homepage.  On the admin side, the menu still worked fine on all pages. i have screenshots if you need to see this.
9. at this point, we thought the issue was the generate press update, so we reverted to the previous day's web save. everything worked fine.
10. we redid the update, and the site broke again.
11. so we reverted to the previous day and did NOT update generate press - this solved the menu issue. went to bed.
so today this is what happened:
1. when i make and publish changes, they show up inconsistently in the public view. for example, i made changes to the content page of our "events and webinars" page (under the Learn tab). The old content had a save the date image. The new content has photos, text, and two registration links. When i refresh my browser and log out as admin, on the public view of the site I sometimes see the old content, and sometimes see the new content.  we are having these issue regardless of which browser we use - Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
2. I called my friend across town and she is having the same issue on her computer. she will open the event page, and see the old content, then navigate somewhere else on the site, return to the same event page and see the new content.
3. i also changed the names of some of the page slugs today and refreshed the menu accordingly. now, sometimes when you click on the menu you get the correct page, and sometimes you get an 404 because it is looking for the old slug.
i have no idea what to do. i am happy to make a guest login if you need to look around.

Hi there,

sounds like an issue with the permalinks or a problem in the database.

You can try rebuilding your permalinks by clicking Save in Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks.

If you want to share the URL to the site we can take a look from our end.

Could the issue be related to ninjaforms? This link - which previously took us to the form we created yesterday - now takes us to an old blog post that I'm pretty sure I deleted. Not sure how this is happening. https://nnmsurj.org/ninja-forms/3gyvo

Did you login? Did you see anything?

Hi there,

I see your site is hosted on SiteGround which uses SG Optimizer. This plugin may be doing some sort of caching for the pages.

I'd suggest completely purging your cache every time you make any changes to the site so the optimization plugin generates a new one based on the latest change you've made.

If purging doesn't fix things, consider copying the site to a staging site and take it apart on the copy to debug/find the culprit. This way, the live site doesn't get affected for the visitors/clients who use it while you debug. :D

As for the debugging itself, you can refer to Leo's link.

To add to that, make sure you disable child themes as well (if any).
