    Hi Guys,

I have a question that maybe is not a GeneratePress focused question, but a general question:

What happen If I change the name of the wp-content folder before to start working on a new website?

Usually on my sites I always use GeneratePress, could this be a problem?

I need to do this because a client needs a re-design but he want to keep the same file structure from the old website where all PDFs and documents are in the “assets” folder.

Can I do the same on WordPress?

    Thanks
    Antonio

I don’t typically suggest doing this, as you might break some plugins that depend on the regular directory.

However, if you’re starting from scratch, you should be ok.

Here’s some directions on doing so: https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/renaming-wordpress-wp-content-folder/
