How do I change the author of a blog post? Here’s my example:
    http://www.aplithelp.com/fail-pre-writing-strategy/

It was not written by me but by someone else. How do I give that person the proper attribute?

By default, you can enable the “Author” metabox by editing your post, and clicking the “Screen Options” tab at the top right.

Select the “Author” option, and it will reveal a metabox below that lets you choose from a list of authors.

If this isn’t quite right, try a quick Google for “wordpress author plugin” – there must be quite a few options out there.

Let me know if you have any questions πŸ™‚

I would also like to change the authors of my posts, as we are a literary blog with many contributors. What’s the best way to do this in 2018?

    Thanks!

I’m having the same issue, unable to change the name of the author of a post.

In Screen Options, “Author” shows up as an option and is checked. However, the option to change Author doesn’t appear in the Quick Edit view – everything else does (Title, Slug, Date, Password, Categories, Tags, Allow comments, Allow pings and Status)

In the full Post editor under the Document tab, I have: Status & Visibility, Permalink, Categories, Tags, Featured image, Excerpt, Discussion, and Layout. None of these items have “Author” in them.

I am using Premium with only the following plugins: GP Premium, Simple CSS

I figured it out. This is a test environment and I had only one User: Me. I guess with one user, changing an Author isn’t an option. When I added a test User, the Author field appeared in a drop-down with both users available.
