Change search URL slug

Hi there

I have some issues with the navigation search on the website in question.
The is the translation plugin "Polylang" in place.

How to reproduce
a) Enter the searchterm "Kontakt" to the navigation search and hit enter
b) The URL now is .../de/home/?s=kontakt, but the correct URL for this search should be /de/?s=kontakt (without "home")

Is there an easy way to change that so the search works properly with this special URL structure?
