[Resolved] Change search results page

If I search something within my site and it can’t be found. It shows the “nothing found” page. This page has a sidebar and the footer widget are shown (which I don’t use)

If have to questions:
1) how do I remove the sidebar and the footer widget from this page;
2) I want to translate the “nothing found” into Dutch;

Can you help me with that.

Hi there,

1. You can use the sidebar filter, check the third code example on this page: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout/

As for the footer widgets, if you’re not using them at all, you can disable them globally: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/

GP translations are handled by WP.org. You can contribute to the Dutch language, then I can ask for you to become an editor so you can approve your translations: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-themes/generatepress/nl/default

Once that language hits 96% complete, the translations will ship to your website automatically.

Thank you for your help. It is now as I wanted it.

I will get in contact with the Dutch team who are helping to translate WP into Dutch.

All you need is a WP.org account (free) and you can contribute to the Dutch GP translation 🙂
