Change height of header/NAV block

Is it possible to change the height of the big white block that holds for example the GP logo and main navigation menu. I know it changes height when you scroll down but how do you set it to be narrower first thing uo.Please also see my beginner site http://www.assuredgoldinvestments.com for what I mean also. I'd like the white background block to be just slightly larger than the site title text. Removing the tag-line doesn't make much of a difference to the overall height of the block
Hi there,
Try changing the top and bottom header padding: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-padding/
As for the navigation, it would be the menu item height: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/menu-item-height-width/
Thanks for that - got it.
You're welcome!
Following on from this - is there a way to change the nav bar height independent of the menu item height?
e.g. So I can have a 80px high nav bar with a 60px high menu item to give the appearance of buttons on hover?
Any chance you can open a new topic and link me to the page in question?
This topic is old and lots of things have changed.
Thanks :)
