Change Colors in a central place

Is it posible to change colors in a central place?
For example in the "search"-theme of the site library I can see the defined colors on the style-site.
I would like to change this difined colors in a central place at once. All whats purple has to be red (for example).
Is this possible?

not yet... it will be in GP 3.1 and GPP 2.1 see here:

We're very close to the live release. And all the compatible sites inlcuding search will be updated to use the new global colors.
