Center Image and place Social Icons on top bar

Hi, I just bought GP Premium yesterday: )
I have a question, I need to add an image at the top of my page (above my menu) and Simple Social Icons besides this image on the top. When using the top bar/widgets, the image doesn´t center even if applied the "Center" setting on the widget, and the social icons also appear out of place.
How can I achive what I need? Is using hooks a better way to do this? or what css do I need to center the image in the top bar and besides it the simple social icons?
I am using the plugins/widgets: Image Widget, and Simple Social Icons.
Thank you.
PS The post says I am using GP 1.4, but I have the Premium 1.5.4
Hi there,
Can you show me an example of what you're going for?
If not, can I see what you have set up so far?
Sure,
Here is an example:
Before/now: https://guedea.net/random/before.jpg
After: https://guedea.net/random/after.jpg
Thank you.
Are you able to link me to the page?
You can use the URL field in the original post so only myself and Tom can see?
Thanks!
Hi,
Yes I just did, I put the link to my site which is still under contruction and not public, and I included the username and password there too. Just delete that from the link address.
Thank you
Have you considered uploading your header image in Customize > Site Identity instead of adding it into a widget?
Hi Tom, I tried that in Site Identity / Logo
But, if I do that the image appears right bellow my site´s name and also bellow the menu, and I need the image to be above everything, at the very top of my page. How can I acomplish that by using the Site Identity / Logo feature?
I need the image to be in this position:
Image/logo
Menu
Site Name
Heading h1
Page/Blog Content
Footer
Thank you.
Got it. So right now you have the image added at the top, using the Before Header hook I'm assuming? If so, maybe we'll just add your icons in the same hook before the image.
Let me know :)
Yes, I did that and it worked, thank you: )
No problem! :)
