[Support request] Catergory Problem

If I have a post that has 3 catergories and I have one that’s the primary.

So say bread maker

which would go under

cooking
electronics
home and garden

i choose electronics to be the primary catergory

if i have all of those 3 catergories in my navigation menu they are all selected when on that post

is there a way to just have the menu show the primary catergory as being selected instead of all 3

if that makes sense?

Unfortunately something like this would take some pretty considerable coding – especially knowing which category is the primary category etc..

What you could try is setting the non-primary category menu items as “Custom Links” in the menu builder – that way WordPress might not be able to make the connection: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-wordpress-menu-builder/#custom-link
