Category Pages Not Found

Hi! I have the full plug-in package and I'm running GP on WP 4.3.1
Whenever I click on a menu heading, it tries to take me to a category page that doesn't seem to exist. How do I fix this? I have tried creating pages for categories, but there doesn't seem to be a way to attach them to the menu item.
Is there a way to do this? Also, is there a way to change the text that the menu item is displaying to something shorter without altering the category name?

That category page seems to be working for me?
You can adjust what menu items you have in your menu by going to "Appearance > Menus".
First, create a menu and then add your items - there's pages, categories, custom links etc.. on the left there.
Then set your theme location to "Primary Menu" and you should be good to go.
