Category Link not Working

Hello! I'm using Rank Math's primary category to show only one category in a button on the archive pages. I followed the instructions here, and it worked perfectly except the link isn't clicking out.
My site is only on local but I pasted the view source code below, which looks correct. The category is Overwater Bungalows, and it's surrounded by the correct a tag. Any idea why it wouldn't be linking?

The HTML looks correct, we'd have to see the live site to know the exact reason Unfortuanly.
Thanks for the reply, and that makes sense! I did figure it out - I put the button in a separate container and then adjusted the z-index to be higher than the background post/link. Works great now!
