Categories Problem

I have only 2 categories for my blogs - plus 'uncategorised'. s ome of my blogs I cannot edit and on looking in th edit menu there are no categories specified for that blog but a message appea5rs saying: "* This post is already protected for this level because it is within a category that requires membership."
I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. I have done nothing that I know of to make this happen. I am a complete beginner and now on the verge of launching my new site.
Any suggestions?

Hi John,
Sounds like you have some sort of membership plugin activated.
Have you tried deactivating your plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the issue?
