Categories displayed multiple times on startpage

Hi,
on the startpage of my website the categories below the exerpt are displayed multiple times, only if just one catregory is chosen it displays correct.
I transfered the Website with Duplicator Pro yesterday to a new hoster, should I repeat the restore procedure?

how very odd - did the process create duplicate terms ( in Post > Categories ) ? Or is it just a glitch on the front end ?
I checked,
just a glitch on the front end...
in case you want to login as admin, find details in "private information".
What happens if you regenerate the permalinks - by going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking save changes ?
nothing changes...
You may need to try the duplciator/import process again, as it sounds like something got a little scrambled in the database.
I'm not displaying the categories under the excerpt on the startpage any more, menu links for categories are working fine, in the posts the categories are displayed correctly.
