Cart dropdown in the nav & wc-ajax

I suppose if I'm using the mini cart dropdown in the nav that I should run '/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments' on all pages?

Yes, that AJAX is required for the cart to update automatically when things are added/removed from it.
