Caption for post thumbnails

Hello, I'm using the Featured Image Caption plugin mentioned above and it seems to be displaying the text, but it displays halfway into the photo on posts and also displays (but properly) on the Blog page (which seems odd since it's just an article preview). Is there any way to change these things? I'm using the Wordsmith template for Generate Press.
