Can't seem to merge with content or have full width content

Just started using GenerateBlocks and followed Mike Oliver's videos but can't get merge content or full width to work.

I've created a header element and selected merge with content. I've also created a layout element with full width selected for content area. But neither is working.

Thanks for any insight. I'm still a beginner as you can guess.

Hi there,

For the header element issue, remove the Off set site header height value you've added:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#offset-site-header-height

Then also remove the padding values:

The full width container layout is indeed working but you have a GB container with max-width: 1440px and padding: 40px added:

Okay, I've gotten the header fixed, thanks. But I can't find that GB container anywhere, looking as closely as possible at the screenshot you gave. I've examined all the blocks in GB, in html too, and just can't spot that. Can you give further clues? Thanks.

Well, I give up, but thanks for your help. Obviously I need to stick with a page builder for a while longer!

I can try to find it if you provide the dashboard access.

You can send the dashboard access using Account Issue here:

Thanks, just submitted. I certainly didn't do anything out of the ordinary or any work in the code, so would love to know why I can't find those settings!

That works okay but not as I remember full width pictures working. Even replacing with a 2000px picture, it is full width until the window reaches 2000, and then it's not. I just checked some other sites I've built and the hero stretches out as far as I go.

I do appreciate all your help, but I'm just not savvy enough for this and will stick with Elementor until the pro version of GenerateBlocks makes its debut. (So get cracking' : )

Sounds good :)
