Can't Remove New Page from Menu and can't Make Drop Down Menus
4 replies · Started by Eric on December 21, 2016
I am trying to add pages which I don't want in the main Navigation Menu. I have the automatically add new pages to menu unchecked.
No matter what I do, any new pages I create end up in the Top Menu. (It's a custom menu I made)
Even when the Menu in the customizer and the front end Menus tab under Appearance shows that the Pages are NOT in the menu, the Pages still show up in the menu when I look at the site.
Also, I tried to make a sub-menu and can't do it.
It's like the entire menu functionality is broken.
I'm sure its something stupid I did, but after much fussing around I just can't solve it so I'm seeking help.
Thanks so much for any assistance.
Best regards...

Eric again with an additional problem:
For a few days I could get rid of the side widgets by selecting Full Width Content in Page Builder Integration. Now that is not working.
Hi there,
You need to build your menus in "Appearance > Menus". Make sure to set the Theme Location in there as well: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/using-menus/
This should help with the widgets: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/choosing-sidebar-layouts/
Ahhhh, now I see where I was messing up.
Yep, both suggestions have me rolling smoothly again.
Thanks for the tips!!!!
No problem! :)
