Can't remove byline on single post

The byline refuses to disappear on single posts on this site:

- 'Display post author' is unticked at Customize > Layout > Blog.
- Applying display:none to .byline doesn't work either.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Can you make sure those are unchecked under the Single tab?

Please also make sure the clear your caching plugin after making the changes.
