I had 3 footer widgets set up, then decided to delete one and just keep the 2. I removed the content, reordered where needed and then changed the # of footer widgets to 2. It is still showing a 3rd footer widget (empty). Any suggestions?

You changed the footer widgets setting in “Customize > Layout” to 2, but it’s still showing the third empty widget?
Is this happening on all pages, or just one? If it’s happening on just one, is the page specific footer widget setting still set to 3? (Bottom of this page: http://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/choosing-footer-widgets/)
