Can't get in the customizer anymore

I have the latest version updated in wordpress Generatepress 1.3.40 and i got the latest GP -premium aswell 1.2.91 but for some reason i can't get in the customizer anymore. When i go, i get this message: Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Customize_Manager::register_section_type() in /home/van/public_html/wp-content/themes/generatepress/inc/customizer.php on line 40. So do you have any idea what i can do to fix it?

Hi there,

This means you're using a WordPress version prior to 4.3, which was released over a year ago.

It's very important to keep WordPress up to date for quite a few reasons, so you'll want to update to 4.6.1.

This will make your site more secure and will also fix the error above.
