Can't display featured image captions #2

Hello GP-Team,
I use this snippet here on a multisite with no problems.
Now I tried it on a different one and image caption won't show. Any idea why this could happen? It is such a useful function for me to give image credits near the image and not at the bottom of an article.
Do you have any idea?

if you have resized the Featured image in the Customizer > Layout > Blog - then try this:
