Can't add cart to menu

I followed all the directions to place the cart on the menu (Installing the woocommerce plugin and activating woocommerce with Generatepress), but it doesn't work.
I'm not sure why, except maybe it's because I built my header and menu using the navmenu element of with Elementor Pro
. Could that be why? Thanks.

Yes that would be the reason. GP cannot insert cart to Elementor's menu.
One of the great things of Generatepress Support is that they respond quickly.
The answer I got wasn't the one I was hoping for, but it was the correct one. This is probably the first time I didn't want to be correct.
You can replicate your current header with GP quite easily if that helps.
