Cannot change font color on Headlines - Error Message
9 replies · Started by Lina on December 7, 2022
Hello!
I'm working in the Search template, and keep running into the same issue - it's making it impossible to use Headlines. When I try to change the font color on a headline, I get the "This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed" message.
If I use Headings, it's perfectly fine, but then I don't have the same control over the text. How can I fix this?
Things I've tried so far: clearing cache directly from Siteground Site Options, clearing browse cache, doing a manual Cache Purge in SG Optimizer, disabling all plugins other than Generate Press and Generate Blocks.
Thank you
Hi Lina,
That sounds strange - we haven't had any other reports on this before.
Is this happening to all Headline blocks?
Let me know :)
Yes, on the entire website. I was working on the home page, but I've tested other pages, and as soon as I try to change anything in the colour section (border, highlight, font color, etc) I get the error message. Then I have to refresh the page to get the error to disappear. It just won't let me do anything with color.
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium and GenerateBlocks and provide us the dashboard access to take a look?
You can provide access using the private info field:

Thanks.
Absolutely. I'd already tried the plug-in disable, but I hope you have better luck. I've attached login details.
The username and password didn't work for me.
Can you confirm? Maybe provide the login link at the same time.
Very sorry about that, I think I had the wrong email.
I just logged in with the details I'm sending you now.
Don't believe I'm experiencing the issue. Take a look at this video:

Am I missing a step somewhere?
I really don't know what happened, Leo... but after your message, I tried it once, and the same thing happened - I got the error message.
Then the page refreshed itself and everything worked perfectly after. :) It's a mystery to me. Whatever you did, it clearly worked.
I didn't do anything other than shooting that video :)
