I just spoke with our hosting and your traceroute looks like it's working. However, it's not coming from the IP you originally shared. Can you please confirm the IP address that your server is using? Also, are there any recent entries in your error_log file that look relevant?

That IP isn't blocked on our end, either.

Sometimes servers send requests via a different outgoing connection. Perhaps that's what's happening with your host? Who are you hosted with?

They can also provide a traceroute which may allow us to dig a little deeper on our end.

Testing with curl to https://generatepress.com

Hi there,

Our hosting (Kinsta) just had a server admin spend about an hour looking into the data you supplied. They confirmed that there is no block of your IP on their end or Cloudflare's end.

I see two possible issues:

1. There's a different IP that your server is using to try to communicate with our server. This IP may be blocked.
2. Your server is blocking the outgoing wp_remote_post() function call (that uses cURL) and returns a 403 error.

On our end, all we can do is take the IPs provided and check the server/Cloudflare for any blocks. If we don't find anything it usually means the block is on the client-side of things. Sometimes (usually with OVH), their server uses a separate IP for outgoing connections (https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/licence-cant-be-activated-on-my-clients-site/#post-2075926). That could be the issue here, but it's all just guessing right now, unfortunately.

Let me know if there are any other IPs to check.
