Can not save pages that contain re-usable blocks
3 replies · Started by Matt on March 22, 2021
Hi
Since 5.7 pages that contain re-usable blocks no longer save.
Console Error:
Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read property 'isPreview'
I'm running pro GP & blocks
I don't seem to be unique and a google search bought us another page builder plugin that had same problem and they somehow resolved it.

Hi there,
in the Post editor - go to the 3 dot menu in the top bar and select the Manage all reusable blocks. Are you able to edit and save one of the reusable blocks in there?
Hi David.
Yes I can. I do seem to have managed to fix the issue. It got so frustrating that I started de-activating / removing plugins to see what might be causing it.
It seems that there are issues with caching plugins. The site in question had 'WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache' installed, BUT it was not/never active as it's a site I am still developing. As soon as I removed the plugin altogether I could save pages with re-usable blocks.
Very odd that a de-activated plugin can still break things!
So turns out it's not an issue with GP.
Love your products, many thanks for all your hard work

Very odd that it would be affected by an unactivated plugin - but theres been lots of reports of issues with the Reusable block update that are unexplainable.!
Glad to hear you found the issue.
