Can I use a site library template and then import Wordpress.com content

Hi,
I have the Generatepress theme installed and was planning to download a template from the site library to get started.
Is it possible for me to then import existing content from a wordpress.com site into the self-hosted site with the template installed or do i need to build the site from scratch if using a site library template?

Hi there,
you can export posts, pages, media etc from the .com site and import into a .org site - and yes you can do this AFTER you have already imported a GP Site :)
