Can I get my website to the state before I installed generate press?

For my website (shared in private):
I installed GP theme & premium plugin.
I used Volume theme but now I only want to use the default GP theme, but you can see in the website URL shared in private that the UI is broken since I disabled site library, also clicked on Reset at the bottom of the page (Appearance > Generate Press).
There is demo content as well on the site...

Now, I just want to get rid of everything related to Generate Press on my website & want to have a fresh & clean install of it.

Please guide me.

Hi Aditya,

In Appearance > GeneratePress, there’s a reset customizer button.

You would also need to go to Appearance > Elements, and delete every Element there.

ok thanks. Just in case later if I decide to install any theme from site library again what will be the correct way to do so?

Hi there,

if you install a site from the Library, and then change your mind, as long as there has been no big changes to the database, returning the site library installer you should see a notice informing you it detected another site and will give you the option to remove it.

If thats not there, then yes you would need to do the steps Fernando mentioned above. And in additional fix any logos / menus / widgets that would have been changed as well as deleting any posts / pages / media / plugins that were imported.

Ideally, if you have content on a website, you should make a backup of the site before importing a Site from the Library. Then in worse case scenario you can roll back.
