Button hover with background gradient

I want to add a hover color to a button, the button has 2 colors enabled with the background gradient option. When I choose a hover color for the button, it doesn't work because i have enabled the background gradient color option for the button. Is there a fix for this or is it just simply not possible to have a hover color with the background gradient option?

what effect are you looking for? Is it to change it from the gradient to a solid color ?
