Button block keeps auto-generating itself

I was moving a button I had created with GB Buttons and it plopped itself down in the middle of a Paragraph Block, where I didn't want it. I eventually got it moved to the right place (it's all but impossible to drag those things with any kind of precision - took me 12 or 15 tries), but somehow it self-generated a new Block with a Gutenberg Button in it. One of the all-blue thingies, not the GB Button.
Anyway, I deleted it, but the damn thing keeps coming back. Almost worse, it keeps throwing my website into a perpetual state of "updating...." so I can't manually save my work in other areas.
How to fix?

yeah I've tried to do that. It keeps telling me they don't know who I am... It tells me "unknown email address," despite having actually joined the forum at least twice now today. Plus they have my email from being a Pro user. frustrating.
