I have recently come across Bunny Fonts, which is an open-source, privacy-first web font platform with a zero-tracking and no-logging, and wondered the feasibility of integrating into GeneratePress?

Their “About” page states that it is a drop-in Replacement For Google Fonts. “The Bunny Fonts API was designed to be fully compatible with the Google Fonts CSS v1 API, making the switch as easy as changing the hostname.

Simply swap https://fonts.bunny.net/css in place of https://fonts.googleapis.com/css on your website’s source code and let your users enjoy better privacy.”

Maybe an option in the Customiser to enable and switch the url? (Probably easier to say than to code!)

I found this plugin hoping to use it, but not sure if it’s as good as native support in GP.

Either way, +1 to Bunny Fonts! Would love to serve fonts faster with better privacy.
