Bug on Page Header?

Hi,

I created a page header (image, container fullwidth, merge with header) for the blog page of my website. After uploading, assigned it and seeing it correctly, I tried to use it in the category pages through Global Position. I made some changes on the parameters but as it didn't looked as I wanted, I eliminated it from the category pages.
When I came back to see the blog page, the page head image had disappeared and the web title and the first post title overlaid one on another. You can see it here in my website url.
The issue is that as I have no idea what had happened, I have eliminated the page header I created, so there is no page header in the blog page any more and still, the web title and the post title look overlaid one on another.
I have deleted the wp cache many times and so does my hosting service but the header doesn't get ok. It seems as if a line of code from the non-exist-anymore page header is hunged anywhere or... I don't know what to do.
Any idea of what is going on?

Thanks!

Ok, I have created another blog page to see if there was an specific problem with the page but it is the same. I also have created the page header I had just for the blog page and assigned to it but still doesn't work. Image doesn't appear (it seems a problem with the images on the wp because on the Wp Show post plugin I tested yesterday I also had a problem with the images). And web title and web post continue to overlay. Please, can you check it out for me?
Thank you!

Hi there,

It looks like it's still trying to use the Page Header that you removed. Does the issue go away if you re-save your Global Locations?

This is something we won't have to deal with using the new Elements module: https://generatepress.com/gp-premium-1-7/

It's currently a Release Candidate that you can use. We're hoping to release the final version early next week.

Hi again!

I have re-save into the Global Position and yes, the issue still continued the same... So I have deleted again the page header to give it another opportunity but nothing changes. It is really strange.
I would go to gp-premium 1-7 but I am going on vacation in two days and won't have wifi connection so I will wait until I come back to install it.
Meanwhile... any other idea to fix my blog page header?

Another question:
I marked excerpts for my post and filled them in the meta box excerpt but in the page post, post list shows the complete post-texts not the excerpts only. Is it normal? I would like to see just the list of posts with the excerpt. I am not using WP ShowPost in there. Should I?

Thanks!

That's very strange, I can take a look for you if you'd like? If so, shoot me temporary admin login details through this form: https://generatepress.com/contact

Just be sure to mention this topic.

Not too sure what you mean here. You've added excerpts into the "Excerpt" metabox, but full posts are still showing in your blog? If so, is your blog set to display excerpts in "Customize > Layout > Blog"?

Hi,

I have just send you the details login to my website.

And about the excerpts, it is already ok. I didn't set the display excerpts on the Customize tool. :-)

Thank you!!!

So I went in and saved the "Blog" global location to one of your other active Page Headers.

Then I set it back to empty and saved again.

It seems to have fixed the issue.

Thankfully we won't need to deal with Global Locations anymore in GPP 1.7 :)

Great! I will try the new elements plugin as soon as i come back.
Thank you so much!

No problem! :)
