Looking at their forum, they’ve had a couple of bugs in their last update – I would give them some more time to see what’s going on.

We aren’t doing anything special with our featured images. We’re using core functions and hooks to move them around. This method has been working as intended for 5 years now (and well before GP was around).

Bernhard – it looks like things look normal in the Customizer for you, but the image is misplaced on the live page. I’m not sure what Rank Math could have done to do that, but I assume they’ll be able to see the issue and fix it in their next update.

If the Rank Math devs have any questions, I’m happy to discuss 🙂

Right, it’s an issue of Rankmath. I prepared the access to my test environment because David asked for it.
Strange weekend. Also AE Templates released an update, which created some problems. They made it multilingual but not downwards compatible. Means, all templates which have no language assigned (in multilingual environment) are no more displayed.

I appreciate it, was good to see the issue didn’t exist in the Customizer (hopefully it helps the Rank Math devs).

Weekend updates – some people like to live dangerously! 🙂

Confirming I’ve had problems with RankMath and GP featured images. I’m using a Header Element and found the featured image was being duplicated below the Element. Rollback to RankMath v1.034 fixed it.

My bug is different, it has nothing to do with element. I use the same as you. My bug is thumbnail on archive and category. Rank Math Updated.

The strange thing is that I rolled back now 3 times and everytime it makes automatic updates. On server side (siteground) I have automatic updates for plugins disabled.

    Update:
I got now from Rankmath the following info:
You can disable Rank Math SEO auto-update by heading to Rank Math, on your Admin menu, followed by General Settings > Others, toggle Off where it says Auto Update.
