Hi there,

I use GP Premium and I wish to use breadcrumbs. So I install Yoast plugin.

Suppose I have the menu : Home Menu1 (below Menu11 Menu12 (below Menu121 Menu122)) Menu2

I want :
you are here : Home > Menu1 > Menu12 > Menu122

But I have only :
you are here : Home > Menu122

It is the same if I use an element with standard PHP code or the shortcode [wpseo_breadcrumb].

Thanks for help.

Dominique

Hi there,

GP has no influence over how Yoast displays its breadcrumbs.

I believe for your breadcrumb to display like so:

Home > Menu1 > Menu12 > Menu122

Then those Pages would have to be related eg Parent and Child:

Home > Parent Page > Child Page > Grandchild Page

Thanks David,

I begin to understand that breadcrumds are based on the hierarchy of pages and not on the hierarchy inside the principal menu. I think that it is strange because what the user see is the menu.

It is true that I does not put the parent in admin / pages / quick change / Parent. If I add this page hierarchy, it is OK but I have an other problem :

When I have a menu as Menu1 Menu12 Menu122, I doesn’t put a page on Menu1 and Menu12 (there are here for filters). I put a page only on Menu122. I put personalized link for Menu1 and Menu 12 (without URL).

So with the hierarchy of pages, it is not possible to see : Home > Menu1 > Menu12 > Menu122
Only appear : Home > Menu122
In this case, breadcrumbs are not useful.

What do you think about that ?
Thanks

Thanks David,

I found also these links but as it is quite old, i shall hope you have an easier and newer solution.

Do you know if it is possible to put chooses in menu (as Menu1 and Menu2) which are pages (to appear in breadcrumb) but without any effect (as personalized link without URL) ?

Many thanks to you and GP.
