Blog's Page Numbers Show but Page Return Error
10 replies · Started by Clyde on August 1, 2018
I just found a problem with the pagination on my blog at the bottom of the page:
https://fluxresearch.com/blog/
When I click on 2, for example, I get the message "Page not found"
I'm not sure how long this has been happening since I haven't checked that feature in quite a while.
I do have the GP Premium blog module activated.
Thanks in advancew for your help!
Hi there,
What do you have set as your permalinks in "Settings > Permalinks"?
Can you try re-saving them?
If that doesn't work, can you try deactivating your other plugins to check for conflicts?
Let me know :)
Thanks for the quick response.
I've got the default month and name set up which has always been the case.
I cleared my SiteGround cache and then checked on the site in another browser and it didn't seem to have an effect.
I have a bunch of plugins and it may be a day or so before I can check things out thoroughly.
Do you have a list of known conflicts?
Thanks!
Found the debugging tips. Will check this out soon and get back to you.
Sounds good. There shouldn't be any conflicts with GP, but it's possible there's a conflict with pagination inside one of your plugins.
Gotcha.
I deactivated all the plugins, no luck there.
I have another blog running all the same plugins except for Code Snippets. It is also just a blog, no static homepage, and the pagination works fine.
On Flux Research the pagination also works fine on all the categories just not the blog.
I found a workaround in that I don't need the blog showing, just the categories.
So I'm going to gradually reactivate all the plugins, make sure everything else is cool and come back at a later date and pick up the process if I decide I need the blog.
I'm just need to focus on my writing and related work, know what I'm saying?
Thanks for your help!
Super strange - it may be worth asking your hosting if they're seeing anything wrong on their end as well.
Unfortunately I'm an anomaly attractor. It's kind of a pain to be honest. But I'll check things out again in a bit and see what I can find out.
I know the feeling. Let me know :)
Forgot about this. Was never able to resolve it but I haven't linked the blog page from anything.
Leaving as is for now for a more pressing issue.
Thanks for working with me. I know would you have helped if I'd continued to address this particular issue.
