Hi,

I am new to GP, totally loving it though.
On my blog page the sidebar is showing, even though I've set to "content/no sidebars" for this page.
How can I change that? Have looked at all settings I can think of.

Also, why has it picked up the search and blog archives specifically?

Many thanks for your help.

Hi there,

WordPress ignores all metabox on index pages (blog, archive etc) by default which is why the metabox isn't working.

You can use the customizer option here to set the blog sidebar layout: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout/#blog-sidebar-layout

Those two widgets are there to fill the space when sidebar layout is selected but no widgets are added.

Let me know if this helps. :)

Hi Leo,

Many thanks for responding so quickly. It works!
I can get creative with the sidebar now.

Thank you again!

No problem :)
