Hi,
How can I add the featured image under the post section?
I can't find any option for that, just below title, above title, above content area.
Also, can I have an option to add it in a custom place (like a shortcode)?

What does below post mean?
You can use a block element, choose hook as element type, add a dynamic image block (the icon is GP logo), set it to featured image:

Then you can try these 2 hook name to see which one fits your need.
after_content and after_main_content
