I’ve been setting up a site using Stream. Overall it’s been really smooth (and a great-looking theme), I’ve got one issue I haven’t been able to sort out. After going through similar topics on the forum and following the pre-post checklist (eg, deactivating plugins, clearing cache, etc.), I’m flummoxed ๐
The header/hero custom image is not displaying on this blog posts page:
https://learnersandmakers.com/blog/
The “Blog Page Header” in Elements doesn’t seem to be applying to this page. I also tried creating a new Header Element for this location/page, using Custom Image. Display Rules are set for this Header Element to display on this page. No go.
Not sure what else I need to be looking into to suss this out, looking forward to your insights and questions. Thanks in advance.
February 17, 2021 at 11:38 am #1662251LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Are you editing the original Blog Page Header that comes with the import?
Is the display rules still set to Blog?
Have you added any other header elements that might be causing a conflict in display rules?

Yes. When edits in that didn’t work I also tried setting up a new Header Element, but have deleted it so only the original Blog Page Header remains.

Yes. I also tried setting the display rule to the corresponding page, but that didn’t work either.

Please provide the login URL, username and password.

Looks like you did create a new header element called Site Hero:
https://www.screencast.com/t/3CWWCv8ZBfpThat isn’t included in the original template:
https://www.screencast.com/t/bFbTKfk8VThat header element is causing a conflict in the display rule as I pointed out above.
Try adding Blog to the exclusion rule and clear your caching plugin.
February 17, 2021 at 3:02 pm #1662440AnthonyAh, you nailed it! We had migrated to Stream from another GP theme, and I think that Site Hero may have been left over from that. I deleted it, and now we are good to go. Never would’ve sorted that without your help. Thank you!
