Blog page footer will not remove

Hello,
On the blog page the 6 widget footer example appears and will not disappear.
On page edit.
Footer widgets is checked to 0.
Remove elements, ALL including footer is checked.
It also looks like the header is not removed either.
On reading settings post page is on blog.

Hi there,
WordPress ignores all metabox value by default on index pages (blog, archive etc).
Looks like you aren't using footer anywhere? If so try using the global setting: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/
If you are not needing the header globally either, try this snippet:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_header/
