Hi Tom
My Blog page is not displaying my Post Headings or Meta Data or the Sidebar. Just the Excerpt and Read More Buttons are showing. When I click on Read More the Single Post Page however is showing everything fine.
I might just add that I imported the posts from another site.
Any ideas. It’s unfortunately a site I’m developing locally, so can’t share if give you access.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHmm, difficult for me to know what’s going on without seeing the site. There could be CSS hiding those items? If you can throw the site into a live server I should be able to figure it out quite quickly.

OK Tom, here we go http://www.warcom.co.za/dev/news/
Any help or assistance would be appreciated. I’m using a child theme of the GeneratePress Theme and all the Add Ons are activated.
Strangest thing, on the other site I’m busy with this wasn’t an issue.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat is strange – the HTML elements don’t even exist.
Does it still happen when you activate the parent theme?

Hi Tom
Last week when I tried activating the Parent theme (GeneratePress) it did
the same thing, but I updated it to the latest version this morning (Version:
1.3.18) and the titles are showing now, but still not on the Child Theme.Very strange, I’ve never experienced this and don’t even know what to do to
try and sort it out.Any advice would be great.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperWhat’s changed in the child theme? A lot of custom changes?

OK Tom, got it figured out.
I had renamed my Front (Home) page home.php and then created a separate content-frontpage.php to display the front page content. In that content-frontpage.php file I removed all the headings and meta data and sidebar.
My blog (News) page was obviously using home.php as it’s template. I then renamed home.php to front-page.php and that resolved the matter.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though.
