Blog on home page shown as link

I know that the home page should be showing at least my most recent post, but it shows only the title as a link to the blog page.

How do I get the post or at least some limited number of lines of the post to show?

My home page is set to static and Front Page set to home.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but searching the forums didn't show anything exactly like this.

Hi Stephen,

I would recommend checking out Tom's WP Show Posts plugin. Then you can choose to show recent posts or whichever posts you want users to see on your front page.

Of course, if you only want blog posts on your front page, you can set it as the "Posts page" in Settings > Reading as well.

Leo and Tom,

Thanks for your quick responses. I went with Tom’s WP Show Posts for now and was able to configure to get my desired result. I'm kind of a "fiddler" so I will try Tom's suggestion just to see the results that creates.
