Blog Layout in HomePage

I apologize if this has been explained somewhere but I really cannot find it.
In the video on this page -> https://generatepress.com/downloads/generate-blog/
You show how easy it is easy to create a column layout of recent posts on the home page. However I have been unable to do so.
I have the following,
In Settings -> Reading -> Frontpage displays -> Your latest Posts
In Customizer -> Static Frontpage -> Front page displays -> Your latest posts
In Customizer -> Blog -> Blog Content -> Blog Post Content
In Customizer -> Blog -> Columns -> Column Layout -> Enable
Yet, the homepage does not show the columns. I have all possible combinations of settings also but it does not work like it's shown in the video. I guess my simple question is how can I get the home page to behave like what you show in the video on this page -> https://generatepress.com/downloads/generate-blog/
Thanks
Hi there,
So in "Customize > Blog > Columns" you have columns set to enable?
Can you link me to your site?
This is a client site and it's behind htaccess password protection. Is there a way I send you a PM with the htaccess username / pass?
Also I should mention that all of the content is inside a custom post type called article.
I have decided to actually code a custom home page in PHP in a child theme for GeneratePress, so it's not a huge problem immediately but I would like to know why it's not working.
Regards
