Blog Layout Having Problems
3 replies · Started by Clyde on April 22, 2021
I think somewhere I have made a blog setting that is overriding my settings in the customize editor. I want to create a masonry layout but it will not allow me to use the excerpt setting. When I try to use the excerpt setting it shows the entire article. The only way to fix it is using the more block but when I do that I have to either cut a paragraph in half or keeping an excerpt that is larger than I want. How can I set up my blog post to look more like a Pinterest page? is there any documentation that will help?
Hi Clyde,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question?
You can use the private information field.
Let me know :)

Hi there,
You can only override customizer settings if you used a PHP snippet. Did you use one? Can you share use what you've used?

Not sure what you mean. I believe Pinterest now looks more like a card/gallery. If that's what you want, I think you'll need to try GP Premium 2.0's Block element - content template. See more about it here - https://generatepress.com/introducing-the-gp-theme-builder/ - watch Leo's demo about it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8byA37OTBRg
