[Resolved] blog layout excerpt length

Trying to set excerpt length for my category pages. In customizer I have blog layout excerpt length set to 14 words and content type set to excerpt but it doesnt seem to be working. Page shows whole excerpt no matter how many words.tried setting excerpt length to 0 but still shows excerpt. also read more button not there.

The category page should inherit the settings from the customizer/main blog page/

So the excerpt isn’t working on the main blog page either? Can you guide me to it?

Im using elementor for the main page to display the post grid and your guys blog module for displaying the post grid on category pages. The elementor excerpts are working on main page. Original post had my site url where you can see. I prefer not to post address here because site is still in construction

I think I got it working. I had some text in the edit post excerpt field that was over riding the text
