[Resolved] Blog Home page with Video from post

Is there a way for a video from a post to appear on the blog home page?

I understand how to do this with an image. But I am unable to do this with a video.

Here’s the example of what I am trying yo achieve:

Hi there,

You could use the Page Header meta box.

Add your video embed into the content area, and turn on the “Add to excerpt” option.

Thanks Tom,

I tried it. It’s not showing up in the blog home page.

and when I add it to the post that way, if I click the Youtube re-size box to make it full screen, it has a jerkiness, especially going back to the post size. I wasn’t seeing that when I used the embed code in the content of the text editor.

SO maybe it’s the way I have things configured.

I’m using GeneratePress with Beaver Builder.

I have all the add ons from both of those. Plus I have Beaver Tunnels>

Any possibility that’s causing something to not work?

Let me say I think GP and BB work extremely well together and was very pleased with the work flow I had building the pages for the front end.

But when I got to the blog posts, I hit a lot of issues with alignment that had me working with a lot of css. Perhaps I’m just misunderstanding how it works, but I’m sure I will have more questions.

IN any case, my praise to you for a great theme. As someone who has been working with Headway or the last three years, GP and BB gives me a better work flow.

Ah, you’re not using the GP blog page – you’re using BB to display your posts.

You would have to ask them if there’s a way to display videos instead of an image inside their posts system, as GP doesn’t have any control over their template.
