I have a post that I want to have as the page where all blogs are listed in a masonry grid with categories and tags. How do I build it? I am trying to see how to do it using the element layout. Is this the correct way to do it?

As for creating a separate page for your blog page, you can follow this article:

As for actual styling of the blog, you can do that on WP Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog. https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/
