Blog Excerpt has been hacked

The content of a blog excerpt has been hacked and modified but the content within the blog itself has not been tampered with. How would I go about fixing the excerpt?
It's likely that you're entire site has been hacked, and the malicious code is just filtering the excerpt to show their stuff.

Your hosting company might be able to identify the problem files as well.
