    Hi,

I have created a custom blog archive using the Block Content Template option in Elements. This uses the Block Archive Navigation to allow the user to move to the next and previous batch of posts.

The top of the blog archive page has content above the blog archive that I hooked in using a hook placed at generate_after_header. The lower half of the page displays 3 blog posts from the archive. When the user clicks on the next or previous buttons the page reloads and shows the next 3 blog posts but because the top of the page pulls in the content from the hook the user has to scroll down to see these blog posts. If I manually add a next or previous link by typing a full url such as http://www.mysite.com/news/page3#blogposts using an anchor link for the next or previous button then the page will load and automatically place the user at the top of the blog posts section so they don’t have to scroll down. However I can’t work out how to do this dynamically since I won’t know if the user is moving to page 2,3,4 or whatever.

Is there a way to add an anchor link to the dynamically generated address to move between the blog archives?

I am still having a problem resolving this issue.

It seems that when using the Archive Navigation Block I can manually type in web addresses for the previous or next buttons to link to which is obviously impossible to do for pagination.

Alternatively I can use the dynamic options to go to Previous Page of Posts or Next Page of Posts. There doesn’t seem to be a way to append an anchor link to the end of the dynamic web address though.

Not sure if my question got missed or if it is something that is not possible to do

    Hi there,

first off your original topic slipped through our system, so please accept our apologies on that.

To the issue itself – i don’t think we can get around that at this time, are you able to share a link to the site so i can take a look – not sure it will help but who knows.

    Hi Rob,

On the buttons of the archive navigation, can you try setting the jump link?

    Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/kpu6lwod

    Hi,

I tried that and this happens:

Without the jump link set then the previous posts button will link to:

    https://mywebsite.com/news/page/2/

With the jump link set then the previous posts button will try to link to:

    https://mywebsite.com/news/#blogposts

So it misses out the ‘page part’ of the url and goes nowhere.
